Violet Patrich is a Canadian artist whose practice is based on the Unceded land of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, where she also received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She works in a variety of mediums, including sculpture, installation, photography and animal preservation. Violet’s impulse to collect has influenced her practice to use recycled items and make meaningful yet uncanny imagery through the power of multiples. Her process-based practice aims to create a confronting commentary on humans and their relationship with nature and consumption of mass-produced plastics through overstimulating and unsettling visuals.
